Operating Policies & Procedures:
The Strutting Pooch, LLC or its employees shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet that the client has let outside or has instructed the walker to allow outside while walker is not there. This includes pets with automatic doors and outdoor pets.

The Strutting Pooch, LLC does not assume any responsibility or liability for any animals that escape, become lost or injured, fatally or otherwise, when the sitter/walker is instructed to leave an animal in a fenced-in area. This includes any type of fence, including electric. Any instruction to leave an animal in a fenced-in area and not in a home must be issued in writing and signed by the owner. The client understands that all pets must have a veterinarian and must be up to date on their rabies vaccination. Proof of these vaccines may be requested prior to service.

The Strutting Pooch, LLC requires the client to have a responsible party to take care of the pet(s) in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness and in the event of inclement weather or a natural disaster.

The Strutting Pooch, LLC does not diagnose or make therapy decisions, nor does it offer veterinary services. Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinarian.

The Strutting Pooch, LLC does not accept aggressive animals with a known bite history. The client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care, attorney fees, etc.) if the pet should bite another person or animal.

The Strutting Pooch, LLC reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate and uncomfortable situations.

The Strutting Pooch, LLC will not accept time-specific calls as we cannot guarantee specific times accurately. A two-hour window is generally acceptable in most situations. Services are usually completed during business hours unless there is a scheduling conflict. Weekend visiting hours are strictly on a case-by-case basis.

Weekend Appointments: If you are unable to give a 24-hour notice of a cancellation of services, you will be charged ½ the fee of the service scheduled, unless circumstances are beyond anyone’s control such as medical emergency or inclement weather.

Payment is expected at the time of service unless a weekly/monthly agreement applies. In the event of additional unforeseen visits or other costs (such as food, supplies, or veterinarian fees), payment is expected within 5 days of the completion of services. Otherwise, payment is due within 10 days of receipt of invoice. A $35 returned check fee will apply and a 10% late fee will be incurred for all late payments.
